Here's what you need for snowshoeing in the mountains
Clothing: dress in multiple layers
Footwear: boots or pedules
Backpack: thermal bottle for hot drinks, sunscreen, cap, sunglasses
Gaiters: very useful accessory that prevents snow from entering the shoes
